May / early June
The iconic City Centre race is our landmark annual event and the most prestigious race in Dar es Salaam. Categories include 5km, 10km and 21km (half marathon), with plans to add the full 42km marathon. The first edition was held on 23rd May 2021 with more than 1,000 runners and has grown to more than 5,000 runners in 2026. Absa Bank Tanzania Limited has been the main sponsor for the past 4 years.

The Club's innovative and unique night race in Dar es Salaam since 2018. Categories include 5km, 10km and 15km. The event has grown from 500 runners to more than 3,000 runners in 2026, demonstrating its growing appeal and the safety of running the streets of Dar es Salaam at night.

Tanzania's premier sports tourism festival combining sports, tourism, health promotion, culture, entertainment and investment promotion in Bagamoyo. Categories: 5km, 10km and 15km, adding the half marathon (21km) in future editions on the last Sunday of November. The route showcases the Old Arab Fort, Old German Boma, German Customs House, Fish Market, Old Harbour, Boat Building Area, Caravan Serai, Hanging Tower, Catholic Historic Museum, Mission Cross, Historic Mango Avenue, Msalabani Beach, Kaole Ruins and the Beachfront Promenade.
By 30th June
Convened every year not later than 30th June. The AGM receives the report of the Management Committee, approves audited accounts, appoints and fixes statutory auditors' remuneration, elects the Officers of the Club and considers any business proposed by the Management Committee.
All year
An initiative to keep all members active during the year. Distance categories, medal costs and prizes are announced by Management before the end of January. Members must use the Club's approved activity tracking apps to be eligible for recognition and prizes at the end of the year.
February / March
Organized by the Secretariat with the Management Committee, the most important networking gathering for all members. Annual Distance Challenge awards are presented during this event.
5th February
Marked every year, usually with a Group Run the weekend before or after, sometimes merged with the Gala Party and/or AGM. The Club formally commemorates every 5 years — a commemorative medal for the 5th anniversary, and a running t-shirt and vest for the 10th.
At least monthly
Organized by the Secretariat at least once every month where practical given weekend race schedules, and in all regions where the Club has members by regional leaders appointed by the Management Committee.

Members are encouraged to organize weekday group runs in their localities and use the Club's social media platforms to invite nearby members. The Secretariat ensures these runs are orderly and that members' safety and the Club's integrity are upheld.
