Founders

Utore Lema is the President, Trustee, and Founding Member of the Club. He is an accountant and a graduate in business administration (MBA), a former executive in banking and an entrepreneur. He is currently based in Dar es Salaam with business interests in trade, events management, real estate, and hospitality.

Hassan is a member of the Board of Trustees and Founding Member of the Club. He is a seasoned banking executive and a graduate of the University of Dar es Salaam (B.Com) and Coventry University (MSc in Finance and Investment). He has worked with Barclays, Ernest & Young, Marie Stopes Tanzania and currently at Ecobank Tanzania as Head of Compliance

Neema is the Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and a Founding Member of the Club. She is a graduate in Computer Science, a former banker, and an entrepreneur. She is currently the Managing Director of Stonegate Investment Company Limited with business interests in sports merchandise, events management, petroleum, and hospitality.

Arafat a Founding Member of the Runners Club. He is a former seasoned banking executive and currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC). He has worked in the banking industry at KCB, NIC Bank Tanzania, Barclays, Ecobank Tanzania, and EXIM Bank. He is a certified Director, ACI Dealer and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance (IFM) and MBA from Coventry University (UK)

Fidelis is a Founding Member of the Runners Club. He is an experienced business leader and consultant having worked with Ernest & Young, Millicom (Tigo) Tanzania, Barclays, TMRC, Airtel Tanzania, and Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania. He is currently a consultant at DCB Commercial Bank Plc. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a graduate of the University of Dar es Salaam (B.Com) and University of Leicester (MBA).

Monica is a Founding Member of the Runners Club. She is a graduate of Tumaini University (BBA) and IFM (MSc in International Business). She is an experienced civil aviation and travel specialist currently at Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) as a senior cabin crew. She has formerly worked with Precision Air, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Swissport Tanzania.
