Membership

Any person of good character, integrity, social repute with an interest in participating in the Club’s sporting and social activities and has attained the age of 18 years shall, subject to the provisions in the Constitution of the Club, be eligible for admission to membership of the Club.

As per the Constitution of the Club members are required to pay entrance fees, annual subscription fees, and a development fee. The current fees are as follows:

Entrance fees for joining members –  TZS 20,000.
Annual subscription fee – Individuals: TZS 30,000; Institutions: TZS 2,400,000.
Development fee: TZS 0.

Entrance fees shall be paid upon joining the Club while annual subscription and development fees shall be paid yearly in advance by 31st March or in two equal instalments, the first by 31st March and the second by 30th June.

Fees should be paid into The Runners Club account number 0150477960700 at CRDB Bank Plc through local banks, CRDB Wakala, and Mobile Money (M-Pesa, TigoPesa, Airtel Money and HaloPesa).

New members are required to complete an online members registration form, available on Google Forms through: https://forms.gle/1KyBLE2wfoHVwyaLA. After registration, new members will be added into one of our members WhatsApp Groups.

Membership Benefits

All members (except corporate members) shall have rights and benefits established in this Club. These includes the right to vote, contest for positions in the Club and following the established procedure and acting in good faith, shall have access to the club’s budgets, financial reports, periodic and annual reports, and other documents upon request.

All members shall have Club identification cards or gadgets such as electronic plastic cards, bank co-branded cards and/or unique identification wristbands.

All members shall also have the following additional benefits:

  1. Access to the Club’s members network for group workouts, running/jogging, motivation and business/social networking;
  2. Access to experienced and qualified coaches in running, general athletics and other sports promoted and/or supported by the Club;
  3. Access to running programmes developed by coaches and the Club’s experienced runners especially in half, full and ultra-marathons;
  4. Access to the Club’s regional representatives for group runs and running motivation when a Club member relocates or travels to some of the regions in Tanzania;
  5. Group registration and logistics arrangements in selected local and international races approved by the Club;
  6. Access to dedicated hydration points for Club members in selected local races approved by the Club;

  7. Price discounts on Club merchandise and approved third-party sports and recreational outlets (shops, gymnasiums, swimming pools, theme parks, etc);
  8. Registration fees discounts for races/marathons organized by the Club or where the Club is one of the organizing partners;
  9.  Access to the Club’s organized races, sports and business networking events to market and showcase members’ business products and services following the Club’s procedures;
  10. Access to members’ marathon after parties and annual gala dinners where the Club present awards and medals for exemplary services to the Club and achievement of annual distance challenge (walking/running); and
  11.  Members support during periods of hardship such as prolonged illness, accidents and major injuries occasioned during training or races and bereavements as provided under the By-Laws of the Club.
